3. How Your Data Is Stored
All Extension data is stored locally using Chrome's storage APIs, including chrome.storage.local.
Examples of locally stored data include:

- Dashboard preferences
- Traffic history (if enabled)
- Security alerts
- Custom filtering rules
- Allowlists and blocklists
This information remains on your device unless you choose to delete it.
Uninstalling the Extension removes locally stored Extension data.
4. Chrome Permissions
Sentinel requests only the permissions necessary to provide its features.

- Upload browsing data
- Use advertising networks
- Use tracking pixels
- Use analytics platforms for user behavior
Any processing performed by the Extension remains on your device unless explicitly stated otherwise.
6. Third-Party Services
The Extension does not rely on third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.
If optional downloadable resources (such as updated filtering or block lists) are provided, only the required files are retrieved. These requests do not include your browsing history or personal information.
7. Children's Privacy
Sentinel is not specifically directed toward children under the age of 13.
Because the Extension does not collect personal information, no personal information from children is knowingly collected.
8. Data Security
Because information is stored locally on your device, there is no central database containing your browsing data.
We recommend keeping your browser and operating system updated to maintain the security of locally stored information.
9. Your Controls
You remain in control of your data.
You may:
- Enable or disable Extension features
- Clear locally stored traffic history
- Remove custom rules
- Reset Extension settings
- Uninstall the Extension to remove locally stored Extension data
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect new features, legal requirements, or improvements to the Extension.
The "Last Updated" date will always indicate the latest revision.
